Corporate Social Responsibility, or CSR, is “a company’s sense of responsibility towards the community and environment (both ecological and social) in which it operates. Acu-MDx express this citizenship:
(1) through our waste and pollution reduction processes,
(2) by contributing educational and social programs, and
(3) by earning adequate returns on the employed resources.
At Acu-MDx we perform analyses every day that help protect both the environment and public health. However, we know that our obligation to safeguard our community and the environment does not end there. We know first-hand how important water is to our drought-stricken state which is why our premises feature water-smart landscaping that conserves the precious resource. We have the requisite authorisation and license from the Pollution Control Boards. When it comes to recycling resources, our lab processes recycle wood, cardboard, aluminium, glass, and plastic where possible. Trees are yet another precious resource which is why we’ve moved our clients to paperless electronic reports. We also know first-hand how dangerous constituents enter our waterways because of improper disposal of hazardous and electronic wastes, which is why we separate our wastes and dispose of them properly. We are currently adopting new methods such as installation of the solar-powered panels for utilizing sustainable natural resources, thereby reducing the operational cost of electric power.
Acu-MDx has a rich history of educational and social program contributions, as well as industry contributions through integrated Research Projects.
We are extremely passionate about science education which is why we support research programs that promote Healthcare, Science and Technology.
Acu-MDx is also passionate about protecting and preserving public health and has been involved in many projects that help underserved community members, such as the Post-Covid Health Survey, etc.
