Unlike the run-of-mill diagnostic laboratories in the country today, Acu-MDx aspires to establish itself as a Public Health Laboratory to serve an important and evolving role in supporting the broad mission of public health in the country. To fulfill this role, Acu-MDx has integrated with a diverse set of public health programs and services at the local, state, and national levels within its clinical laboratory domain of providing a substantial proportion of the data used by health-care providers to diagnose, monitor, and treat patients. As a PHL, the data generated may be used by policymakers to assess the community's health status, identify health risks, and support public health program activities and decisions. The scope of responsibilities of PHLs will grow in the future, not only in terms of the quantity of data generated but also in the complexity of testing.
At Acu-MDx, we have a robust infrastructure and expert resources that are highly beneficial to those conducting medical research – the extensive experiential knowledge of our doctors; and our wide menu that ranges from routine to highly specialized diagnostic tests.
Our research projects are be aimed at:

• Validation of a new test methodology
• Validation of a new diagnostic kit
• Collaborative research work with Institutions and/or individuals in the field of public health.
• Support to CRO/SMO

Post-Covid Survey (Epidemiological study)

Acu-MDx is performing the Post-Covid project which is a retrospective study for human health after the Covid era. Covid-19, was a pandemic around the globe in recent years. During this pandemic, the global health forums as well as the national governance experienced a lag in healthcare services and a vacuum in readiness for a pandemic. Although, in a rapid mode our scientific community introduced the covid vaccine to the world but there is a huge probability of after-effects of a pandemic i.e. Long-covid or Post covid.

Although Covid is over but according to studies 30-40% of covid exposed population is getting aftereffects including weight loss, hair loss, random mood swings, smell and hear loss, effects in vision, changes in diurnal etc., and these after-effects are named Long covid or Post-covid. These symptoms may remain for a long time even after recovery from covid. In various part of the world, Doctors also reported for these symptoms after covid but it need proper epidemiology and monitoring.

In association with Pensieve health, Acu-MDx is operating this project of Post covid survey on 10,000 subjects which includes questionnaire modules for participants’ health, mood, and lifestyle. Including initial recruitment and sensitization of participants, Acu-MDx is performing periodic follow-ups with adequate data monitoring and quality checks.
